Note: it's not simply Alt+c, it's AltGr+c where AltGr is the right Alt (as opposed to the left one, "normal" Alt). I believe in Windows AltGr is (semi?)equivalent to Ctrl+Alt. Similar problem from the past: The curious case of the disappearing Polish S.
